3. Can you easily afford it?
4. Were you saving for something together and will this set you back?
Any of those can equal doghouse. I want to buy one to watch The Grand Tour in 4K, but can’t justify spending money when I have a perfect 55” 1080p.... I could easily afford it, but my cheap roots are telling me no.

To be fair, 4k will not make a difference at 50". But at $30 more, any marginal performance enhancement will pay huge dividends so it shouldn’t be an issue.
